The Narrative
This work is inspired by the life of Livia Drusilla (58 BC – 29 AD), the third wife of the Roman Emperor Augustus. Livia was considered one of the most influential women of her time—revered, feared, and surrounded by legends to this day. Contemporary sources accuse her of having manipulated and even poisoned her husband to pave the way for her son Tiberius to ascend the imperial throne.
"By capturing the chilling elegance of history’s most formidable empress, the artist masterfully distills the dark undercurrents of political machination, using a calculated visual tension to expose the razor-thin line between absolute devotion and lethal ambition."
