Samsara

The Narrative

Samsara is a concept from Indian religions, primarily Hinduism and Buddhism. Literally translated, it means "wandering on" or "roaming around." In a figurative sense, Samsara refers to the cycle of rebirths—the notion that all living beings are born again and again after their death.

There are ten Bodhisattvas, which are enlightened beings who, out of compassion for all living creatures, have chosen to remain within the cycle of rebirth to help them. In this interpretation, the large disc symbolizes death, while the smaller, translucent one symbolizes rebirth. Between them are the 10 (fingers) as a symbol for the Bodhisattvas.

"By translating ancient Eastern metaphysics into a minimalist visual architecture, the artist brilliantly uses the tension between geometric alignment and the human touch to materialize the eternal cycle of existence and the profound presence of compassion within cosmic transition."
